If I Die Tomorrow, It Was the Ham

I’ve been craving some protein lately. A good chunk of some animal’s flesh, you know?? But meat here is… Interesting. I had some ham today that I purchased today, in a sealed package, with an expiration date a couple of weeks away. Should be good, right? When I opened it up to make a good ol’ ham n’ cheese sandwich, parts of it were pink, parts were gray, and there was a strange, iridescent orange glow to the backs of each slice. I told myself, maybe they have multicolor pigs here…

I ate these yesterday. Check the flavor.

Amy, you never used to like meat…that’s what happens, we all want what we can’t get, even if we never wanted it before! Lack of it, just makes us want it more. Multicolor pigs would be so cool…maybe farmers could genetically mutate them so we could enjoy rainbow pork. Were the cheese/ketchip chips good? Much better than Funyums, I’d think. 84 degrees here today. In Hungarian: “Sape edur von ma” – try it on someone and see what response you get, OK? – YAY It is almost someone’s birthday…love you, mom

I still don’t like it very much. It’s just that I’m so hungry! The fried food and white bread and sour cream on/in everything tastes good but it doesn’t last very long. I’m definitely getting a giant thing of peanut butter to bring back here when I’m home in Oct for Lauren and Stefan’s wedding.
